A Chairde (Dear Friends),
As we approach St. Patrick's Day, I'm hoping to be nailing down the finer details of Bloomington Celtic Culture Weekend. We're looking forward to our 4th annual event and continue to learn and grow as time goes on thanks to your help and participation. The primary function of the weekend is for Irish speakers (teachers, native speakers, and learners alike) to get together use/improve Irish speaking abilities. If you are a learner and have registered, maith thú! You'll be getting confirmation details, a schedule, and tips soon. If you haven't registered yet and plan on joining us, please register as soon as possible so we can put the finishing touches on our April 13th-15th event (form link above or available upon request from Irish@IndianaCeltic.org). Encourage friends, family, co-workers, and absolute strangers to take this step in learning/speaking/sharing Irish.
Here is what we know at this stage:
-The event will take place from about 6pm on April 13th through about 1pm on April 15th (you can determine when you want to sleep).
-We will be based at the Indiana Memorial Union (900 E. 7th Street, Bloomington, Indiana).
-There will be multiple class levels available (even absolute beginner), you can place/move yourself as you see fit.
-There will be approximately 10 hours of direct instruction and ample opportunities to learn and practice in informal settings.
-We will spend evenings at The Runcible Spoon and hope to have some good music sessions.
